Paws on Patrol

Many parishes in the Forest of Dean are already benefiting from this scheme. If you know anyone who would be interested in joining, then Street Wardens can get forms out to them if they call (01594) 812617 or they could sign up online: http://www.fdean.gov.uk/nqcontent.cfm?a_id=7733. Posters are also available.

In addition, Street Wardens are running a district wide campaign against dog fouling. So far, fixed penalties have been issued in Sling and Lydney for owners failing to pick up after their dogs. It is a few offenders who give a bad name to considerate dog walkers. Information received from patrollers helps Street Wardens to be in the right area at the right time so that action can be taken.

Community Grants 2013/14

The Forest of Dean District Council offer not for profit voluntary and community groups - both constituted and non-constituted - the opportunity to apply for one off funding to enable the development of stronger and more cohesive communities. This approach is aimed at building the capacity of the community rather than directly delivering services. Projects should clearly be able to show that there is local value and leadership in them and demonstrate its importance to the community.

For the application form please click on Community Grant Application Form 2013/14. For guidance in completing the form click on the link Guidance Notes.

The closing date for applications is 31st. July 2013 at 4pm. Notification of result of applications is 14th. August 2013.
