Earlier on today at around 15:30 (3:30pm) there was an accident on the A40 at it's junction with Barrel Lane in which a woman was killed. The woman's car collided with an articulated lorry before hitting a wall outside Norton House. The road was blocked for many hours as the jack-knifed lorry and car were removed. At the time of writing the road was still closed.
