Severn Trent Water would like customers to know that they are aware that there is a problem with water supplies on the Estate, and in particular, The Willows and The Wend. Customers have been experiencing problems with "pipe hammer" (noisy and juddering pipework) especially early in the mornings and overnight, but no problems during the day. The cause is due to a faulty pressure regulating valve situated between The Willows and The Latchen, that apparently has caused Severn Trent problems several times in the past despite it being relatively new. They have now given up repairing it and are due to replace it in the next few days. They apologise for the annoyance to their customers.
