Christmas in Longhope

We are often asked about what happens in Longhope at Christmas. Well the answer is: not a lot! Many people decorate their houses with lights etc, but there is a certain household in Church Road that has been doing so for a good many years, in a very over the top manner, just to make sure that Longhope can be seen by any orbitting space station or alien life forms!

The Fentons have always got their house-decorating well under way by the end of August ready for the grand switch on in October!! Many children from the village don't even know who the Fentons are, but Janet is often known as "Mrs Christmas" when they see her out and about. Below is a photograph of the said property.
