After recent interviews, a new vicar for Longhope has been announced. He is Chris Sterry, who is presently in Lancashire. With a local name like Sterry, it seems a bit of a coincidence that someone from "up north" should have such a local name. The fact is that his ancestors were from Longhope, so he will feel at home coming back to his roots. He is due to move to the village in May.
