Dick Brice Entertains

On Saturday 8th December the Latchen Room welcomed Dick Brice, for an evening of merriment! The "local lad" entertained the throng of villagers with his jokes of life in The Forest, told in his broad dialect, and his folk songs. At half time, the crowds were fed with ploughmans and followed by mince pies, washed down with mulled wine punch and other "bring-your-own" beverages. There is no doubt that Dick Brice is a fantastic story-teller and had everyone in stitches. A very enjoyable evening was had, and let's hope it isn't too long before he makes a return visit.
