The August Bank Holiday Monday sees the return to the village recreation ground of the new football season. (Saturday afternoons will never be as peaceful again!) The village has still enough players to field two teams, but they would still welcome any new players to come along and give it a go. So if you are 14 years and above then the boys would love to hear from you. The success of both teams depends on new blood and young legs and hopefully they will have as much luck as they did last season.
The new season kicks off at 6:30pm at the Rec with Longhope entertaining Mitcheldean Reserves, while Longhope Reserves play Minsterworth Reserves away. Follow the lads and keep up with the latest results by going to the Sports page of this website.
