The planning application put to the Forest of Dean District Council (FODDC) to develop the Mohair Centre into The Dick Whittington Centre has been refused because, among a number of reasons, there was poor access to the site from the A4136 because of the 'insurmountable difficulties in providing an adequate stacking lane at the entrance to Blakemore Farm'. Up to 19,000 vehicles per day pass along the A4136 (I wonder who counted them all!).
